The Global Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ and spread scriptural holiness across the globe. At the heart of the Global Methodist Church is a deep desire to surrender fully to the one true God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—and to live out a passionate devotion to what matters most to Him.
Our Vision
Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, the Global Methodist Church envisions multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the earth
who flourish in scriptural holiness as we worship passionately love extravagantly and witness boldly.

Dr. David Bush, Pastor
Rev. David Bush brings both a deep love for God’s Word and a heart for people into every aspect of
his ministry.
A graduate of Southern Arkansas University with
a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism, David went on to earn both his Master
of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry from Memphis Theological Seminary.
His passion for teaching has led him to the class-room as well, where he has taught Evangelical Theology at John Brown University and at Memphis Theological Seminary.
Beyond the pulpit, David delights in serving his community in simple, tangible ways. One of his favorite pastimes is making homemade soup and delivering it to the El Dorado Fire Departments, nursing homes, church shut-ins, and to family and friends.
His favorite scripture comes from Exodus 3:1–5, the story of Moses encountering God in the burning
bush and hearing the words: “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” This passage continues to inspire David’s ministry, reminding him that God’s presence transforms ordinary places into sacred ground.
David has preached in every county in Arkansas. He serves as President of Swamp Angel Ministries, which hosts the Annual Arkansas Retired Ministers’ Appreciation Day, and as a Connecting Elder for the Arkansas Conference of the Global Methodist Church. He is also honored to serve as Chaplain for the El Dorado Fire Department, offering spiritual support to those who serve and protect the community
Through it all, David lives by a simple yet powerful truth: “God is Good – All the Time!”

David’s journey is shared with his high school sweetheart, Joanie Stinson Bush, and together they share life with their two pets—Star the Dog and Brookes the Cat—who happily remind them who really runs the household.
